The Call to Climate Justice: A Non-Partisan Field Guide to Connecting the Dots for Candidates & Voters
Just Solutions & Climate Advocacy Lab

Ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, this training will introduce participants to The Call to Climate Justice: A Non-Partisan Field Guide to Connecting the Dots for Candidates & Voters.

Participants will explore how the Field Guide can help connect climate justice with issues already shaping conversations among voters and candidates, including affordability and climate resilience. The training will provide an overview of the Field Guide’s 501(c)(3) guidance, narrative strategy, and model candidate questions. Participants will also explore how to adapt and use the resource in their own state or local context and voter engagement work. This training is for organizers and advocates looking to sharpen their non-partisan voter engagement knowledge, utilize a narrative in their civic engagement strategy, and/or understand the do’s and don’ts of candidate questions.

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  • Use the ClimateMax Field Guide to support nonpartisan voter education and candidate engagement by 501(c)(3) organizations.

  • Connect energy and climate justice to the issues people care about most using the Field Guide’s narrative strategies.

  • Adapt the model candidate questions to fit their state or local context.

  • Identify practical ways to use the Field Guide in their existing organizing, voter education, and candidate engagement work
