Decision Making 101: Consensus, Majority, Ranked Choice, Oh My!
Kerrina Williams, Climate Advocacy Lab

What communication app will your group use? How will you finalize the guest speaker for an event? We make so many decisions every day in our campaigns and organizations! This training will explore decision making models, including five different frameworks that groups can use to make efficient decisions. Additionally, we will determine which decision making structure works best for the decisions in your campaign!

Participants will:

  • Understand the importance of clear decision making structures in a campaign

  • Learn about different decision making models: Consensus, Gradient of Support, Consent, Super Majority, and Ranked Choice

  • Identify how different models can work in various scenarios and determine which work best for your campaign or group

This is an interactive workshop with group discussions, activities, and breakout rooms.
